OHLA
Oak Hill Legislative Assembly
Who -
OHLA is made up of one representative from each homeroom. There are also four upperclassmen officers.
What -
OHLA is the equivalent of a student council. We help to make changes in the school, nominate teachers for teacher of the month, and choose an individual each month to receive the Raider Recognition award. OHLA also helps plan activities for Winter Carnival. OHLA runs a blood drive twice a year. The biggest activity that OHLA is involved in is creating Holiday Baskets for less fortunate members of our community.
When -
OHLA meets once a week during homeroom. In past years this has been on Tuesday. We may meet more than that is there are important upcoming events.
Where-
OHLA usually meets in the auditorium.
Why -
OHLA allows students to make positive changes in the school as well as the community.
How -
Tell your homeroom teacher you are interested and your homeroom will vote for a representative.
